About SN

Serenity Now is a day one three end-game raiding guild on the Illidan server in World of Warcraft.  Our primary goal is to have fun while continuing to progress through end-game content.  We are a very laid-back guild, but we are certainly not for everyone.  Our goal is to put fun first.  We place almost no restrictions on members outside of raid times, and we like to fuck around in content we have on farm.

Longstreet's Application Pointers

After noticing a large amount of truly pitiful apps here recently I thought I'd give a few pointers.

-Before you start think about your forum name.  Think hard... is that really what you want it to be.  Really?

-Trying to make the ENTIRE application 'funny' is overdone.  It just makes you look immature, or like a try-hard trying to make up for terribleness.  Save your creative writing for the last 3 questions, that's what they are for.

-Don't play the 'too cool to know my computer specs' card.  Right click on my computer and hit Properties, or ask your parents which kind of Dell they bought you.

-Make the overall app readable and presentable. Maybe set it off on the next line with bold letters or colors.  I find myself skipping over apps that are all jumbled together.  Check for spelling and keep the smileys, lols, and rofls to a minimum.

-Answer #9 correctly.  According to webster an expletive is:
Quote
1 a: a syllable, word, or phrase inserted to fill a vacancy (as in a sentence or a metrical line) without adding to the sense  ; especially : a word (as it in “make it clear which you prefer”) that occupies the position of the subject or object of a verb in normal English word order and anticipates a subsequent word or phrase that supplies the needed meaningful content b: an exclamatory word or phrase  ; especially : one that is obscene or profane
